Manufacturing Manager - Closures
Consumer Products
I joined Sonoco after graduating from Clemson University in 1997. During my career, I have relocated to various plants within the consumer packaging businesses including Memphis, Tenn.; Chicago, Ill.; Jamesburg, N.J.; and Jackson Tenn. I've been the plant manager at one of Sonoco's largest consumer products plants in the United States for three years.
On-the-job
My career with Sonoco has provided challenging work assignments focused on professional growth and advancement. In my current role, I enjoy affecting positive changes within my manufacturing site and building relationships with key customers. I am also encouraged by the mentoring opportunities I’ve had within our division.
Off-the-job
Striking a healthy balance between work and life is vital for both professional growth and personal goals. I spend time with family and friends during the holidays and that always recharges my battery. A good dose of Clemson footballs wins never hurts either.
Most memorable moments
My most memorable moment was in 1999 as quality systems manager for the Jackson plant. I visited Guangzhuo, China, for two weeks in December verifying composite can quality across the region.
