SR-350 and VR-500 Tissue Cores
Both the SR-350 and the VR-500 have been designed to meet the demanding requirements of tissue paper manufacturers. Sonoco Alcore tissue cores deliver superior re-use levels, improve run-ability and handle the fastest winding speeds.
Learn more about SR-350 and VR-500 tissue cores.
Do you want to track the re-use levels of your tissue cores? Sonoco Alcore can implement tracking services at the tissue manufacturers' location by utilizing radio frequency identification (RFID) through IntellicoreTM, allowing you to track the re-use level of every core.
IntellicoreTM
Intellicore paper roll identification is a breakthrough in embedded core technology that enables automatic paper roll inventory tracking in areas of paper and paper-product manufacturing. The technology delivers numerous supply chain benefits, including minimized buffer stocks and working capital, decreased waste, and real-time streamlining and monitoring of production.

Metal Core Caps
Choose from a complete line of metal caps and inserts for virtually all paper mill core needs-newsprint, supercalendered, coated and lightweight coated paper applications. Standard configurations include full metal caps and sleeves, both with formed keyways. Caps are available in bulk or attached to pre-cut cores.
Pre-Cut / Pre-Capped Cores
Increased press widths and running speeds, as well as demand for immediate access to a variety of roll sizes, have created the need for more sophisticated cores, putting pressure on in-house core-cutting operations. Ask for Sonoco Alcore pre-cut and pre-capped cores to decrease your overall systems costs.
Paper Mill Core Technology
Sonoco Alcore uses roll weight capacity as the primary design parameter when evaluating build-up for a core. Other key factors include torque resistance, speed, straightness and radial stiffness.
