• For a fourth time, Sonoco has been named to Forbes magazine's ''Platinum List of the Best Big Companies in America.''

• Three Sonoco-made paperboard packages received top honors at the 2004 Mexican Packaging Association's Estelar Awards competition: a composite can for Unilever's Holanda ice cream cones; Grupo Vida's Avena 1 Oatmeal canister and a grease cartridge produced for Commercial Roshfrans, the first paperboard-based grease cartridge produced in Mexico for automotive products.
