Black Creek Arts Council The countywide Black Creek Arts Council serves as an umbrella organization for many of Hartsville's cultural activities. Black Creek Arts Council promotes the visual arts through classes and by displaying works of local and regional artists in its newly renovated Arts Center. For more information call, +843-332-6234.

There are designated walking/jogging/biking trails, and a local YMCA. Byerly Park, located on 14th Street and Russell Road, is a multi-use recreation complex currently under construction. When completed, Byerly Park will be one of the finest recreation facilities in the southeast. Six soccer fields in conjunction with four softball/baseball fields an eight-lane track and field facility, and two playgrounds, currently make up Byerly Park. Future plans call for the addition of four youth softball/baseball fields, two youth football fields, walking/jogging/biking trails, six tennis courts, and a third entrance into the facility from Washington Street.
