Mr. Whiddon is the advisory director of Berkshire Partners, LLC, (a private equity firm), Boston, Mass. Currently acting chief operating officer of Waterworks, Inc. (luxury bath retailer), Danbury, Conn., a Berkshire portfolio company. Formerly executive vice president-logistics and technology, Lowe’s Companies, Inc. (a home improvement retailer), Mooresville, N.C., 2000-2003; executive vice president and chief financial officer of Lowe’s, 1996-2000; senior financial positions at Zale Corporation (jewelers), Dallas, Texas, Eckerd Corporation (drugstores), Largo, Fla., 1989-1994. He has served on the board since 2001, and is a member of the audit committee.
