Overview
I joined Sonoco 30 years ago and have enjoyed the challenges and opportunities I've had working with people all over the world. In my current role, my team performs the audits in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Belgium and manages a third party provider for internal audits in other countries.
On-the-job
I'm fortunate to work with some great people and outstanding managers. They weren’t always easy, but they were fair and challenged me to do my best. I admire the tone of support and family values set by Sonoco's top management. I've been able to balance my career, and my life as a wife and mother, with a short time where I worked from home.
Off-the-job
I spend a lot of my time focusing on my love of education and youth. I'm an active member of the Agape Fellowship AME Church in McBee, S.C., and serve on the board of the Pee Dee Coalition against Domestic Violence and Assault and the United Negro College Fund Committee for Darlington County.
Most memorable moments
Sonoco helps me live my personal motto: Always give your best, while constantly striving to be all that you can be, perpetually working for improvement everywhere you go and in every life you touch. |
