On-the-job I’ve been fortunate to hold a number of positions at Sonoco. I spent my first 11 years with the company in two positions: customer service representative and account representative. I then served as a strategic account manager and a segment manager before moving into my current role as marketing manager. In my current role I develop market strategy, identify growth opportunities and manage export sales.Off-the-jobI have two young kids, but no secrets when it comes to balancing work and life. Managing childcare around the schedules of two working parents takes perseverance. I am fortunate in that my husband is extremely supportive and my managers at Sonoco have allowed job flexibility.Most memorable momentsFrom a work perspective, my most memorable moment probably occurred when my male coworkers hosted a bachelorette party for me while we were all attending an industry conference in Memphis. On the personal front, I would say the birth of my kids and attending the finals of the World Cup Soccer tournament in Los Angeles in 1999 when the U.S. played China.
