To support this belief, Sonoco develops meaningful partnerships with schools, encourages and motivates its employees to get involved in their local schools and initiates dialogue with government leaders about the importance of our teachers in improving education overall.In Hartsville, S.C., the home of the company's headquarters, Sonoco worked with Hartsville High School to successfully introduce the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma program. This makes the local high school one of 2,200 in the world to offer this prestigious program. The IB diploma program is a two-year program for high school juniors and seniors. A broadly based curriculum incorporates international standards and a variety of assessment tools.
