Manufactured through reliable contract manufacturing, our cheese mould solutions support efficient production across a wide range of cheese types.

KADOVA® Cheese Moulds From Sonoco Plastics

Sonoco Plastics’ cheese moulds are well known in the market under the KADOVA    brand. Designed for manual, semi-automated and fully automated production processes, KADOVA moulds are ideal for semi-hard and hard-pressed cheeses. Available in single- and multi-mould configurations, these cheese press mould solutions are offered in all standard sizes to support flexible production requirements. This versatility allows cheese producers to scale production while maintaining consistent shape and quality.

The benefits of KADOVA cheese moulds help producers improve throughput while controlling operational costs.

  • Dry and smooth cheese rind
  • Attractive, consistent shape
  • Higher daily capacity due to reduced processing time
  • Lower investment, as moulds can be reused multiple times per day

Cheese Mould Design, Material And Product Size Range

Our plastic cheese moulds are lightweight and virtually unbreakable, making them easy to handle in daily production environments. They retain their shape over time, require less maintenance than alternative moulds and are easy to clean. All moulds are produced using EMA-approved materials, supporting hygienic food-contact applications.

Our cheese press moulds are available in a wide range of standard formats, including:

  • Baby Gouda:  200 g – 1 kg
  • Gouda: 1.5 kg – 16 kg
  • Edam: 0.5 kg – 4 kg
  • Broodkaas: 2 kg – 5 kg
  • Cylindrical:  Diameter 83 mm – 400 mm
  • Block formats: 356 × 280 × 160 mm; 356 × 280 × 260 mm; 240 × 360 × 190 mm

Plastic Cups and Lids

As a trusted plastic cup manufacturer, Sonoco Plastics designs and produces high-quality cups, lids and accessories for laboratory, coating and industrial applications. Manufactured through reliable contract manufacturing, our solutions combine chemical resistance, precision and consistent performance.

Sonoco Plastics cups and lids are engineered to support accurate measurement, safe handling and dependable performance across demanding environments. This helps ensure consistency and reliability where precision and material compatibility are essential.

Laboratory Equipment Applications

Sonoco Plastics has developed a range of plastic cups and components for use in chemical laboratories and paint-mixing applications. The raw materials used are highly resistant to a wide spectrum of substances, including acids and bases. This resistance supports safe handling and repeatable use in controlled laboratory environments.

Cartridge Applications for the Coating Industry

In the coating industry, our cartridges are specifically developed to support accurate measurement of the Paint Flow Index, helping ensure process consistency and reliable results. This precision supports controlled testing and repeatable outcomes in coating applications.

Plastic Cup, Lid and Stirrer Options

Plastic cups, lids and stirrers are available in a wide range of sizes and shapes to meet different application needs. Cup volumes range from 10 ml to 1,000 ml and are supported by matching lids and stirrers. The system is fully liquid-tight, helping prevent leakage during handling and transport. Special designs can also be developed and manufactured to accommodate specific customer requirements.

Integrated Tool Shop and Manufacturing Capabilities

In addition to custom injection moulding, Sonoco Plastics operates a fully integrated, in-house tool shop supporting complete product development and production.

Our capabilities include:

  • Tool design and engineering
  • Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
  • Mouldflow analysis and optimisation
  • Developmental and production tooling
  • Precision tool manufacture, maintenance and optimisation
  • Commercialisation and full-scale part production

By integrating tool design, build and plastic injection moulding under one roof, Sonoco Plastics maintains tight control over quality, tolerances and lead times. Secondary operations, including ultrasonic welding and automated assembly, further support the delivery of finished components ready for market.

Manufacturing is carried out within controlled, certified operations that reinforce consistent quality and repeatable performance across scalable contract manufacturing programmes.

This vertically integrated approach enables a seamless transition from concept to high-volume production while strengthening long-term supply reliability.
