Jerry Cheatham

Jerry Cheatham, a seasoned finance leader with 36 years of experience at Sonoco, was appointed as the Company’s Interim Chief Financial Officer in January 2025.

Since joining Sonoco in 1988, Cheatham has held various leadership positions across finance and accounting. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Global Finance for the Industrial Paper Packaging segment, a role he held since December 2022.

Cheatham brings extensive expertise in financial strategy, optimizing financial operations and driving key initiatives to support and accelerate business growth. As Interim CFO, he is focused on maximizing financial performance and advancing Sonoco’s long-term strategic objectives. He holds a BS in Accounting from South Carolina State University and an Executive MBA from Vanderbilt University.
